A convenient one-pot synthesis of highly functionalized furans skeleton via the reaction of isocyanide derivatives and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates in the presence of ۴-methylthiazole-۲-carbaldehyde

The reaction of isocyanide derivatives with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates in the presence of ۴-methylthiazole-۲-carbaldehyde to proceeded smoothly at room temperature and under mild conditions led to synthesis of dialkyl-۲-(alkyl/arylamino)-۵-(۴-methylthiazol-۲-yl)furan-۳,۴-dicarboxylate derivatives in excellent yields. All products were established by IR, ۱HNMR, ۱۳CNMR, Mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
