چکیده مقاله:

This research presents a micromechanical model for predicting the elastic properties of plain weave composites. In this regard, a multi-scale micromechanical model is presented by choosing a representative volume element andperforming discretization and homogenization processes according to the problem's physics. In this model, theassumptions of equal in-plane strains and equal out-of-plane stresses have been used to homogenize the representativevolume element, which has been modified compared to the previous models. The set of these assumptions for thehomogenization of the plain weave composites increases the accuracy of predicting the elastic properties due to thesatisfaction of the equilibrium and displacement continuity conditions between the discrete components that make up therepresentative volume element. In addition, good agreement was obtained between the results of the present model andthe available experimental results.
