چکیده مقاله:

Regular hospital visits can be expensive due to travel costs, especially in rural areas. In the era of the Covid-۱۹ pandemic, where physical interaction becomes dangerous, people prefer telemedicine. Fortunately, medical visits can be reduced when telemedicine services are used through video conferencing or other virtual technologies. Therefore, telemedicine saves patient and healthcare provider time and treatment costs. In addition, due to its fast and useful features, it can simplify the workflow of hospitals and clinics. This disruptive technology makes it easier to monitor discharged patients and manage their recovery. In conclusion, it suffices to say that telemedicine can create a win-win situation. The purpose of this paper is to examine the significant capabilities, treatment workflow characteristics, and barriers to telemedicine adoption in healthcare. Telemedicine is described as a doctor working to diagnose and treat patients in a remote area. Using health programs to schedule follow-up visits makes physicians and patients more efficient, improving the likelihood of follow-up, reducing missed visits, and optimizing patient outcomes. Patients should take a detailed medical history and show the physician any prominent rashes, bruises, or other symptoms that require attention via a high-quality audio-visual system. In addition, doctors need file management and a payment gateway system. Telemedicine technologies allow patients and doctors to monitor treatment progress. However, this technology complements the physical consultation and in no way replaces the physical consultation. Today, this technology is a safe choice for patients who cannot visit a doctor or sit at home, especially during a pandemic.
