چکیده مقاله:

Kaolin is a term drawn from the high mountain range of Kaoling, meaning high peak, in China,which is comprised of white coloured porcelain soil.Today, several methods are available forimproving the physical and mechanical behaviour of the soils unsuitable for constructionprojects. These methods include compaction, consolidation, preloading, grouting, andstabilization by adding chemical materials etc. Addition of waste crumb rubber for reinforcingthe soils is an appropriate method for improving the strength and bearing capacity of the soils.In addition to the improvement of soil engineering properties, the addition of waste crumbrubber is a measure for the protection of environment. In this study, the dilation angleparameters of the Kaolinite clay, as the control material, and the Kaolinite clay reinforced bydifferent percentages of two different types of crumb rubber content have been evaluated.
