Job Satisfaction of Nurses During the COVID-۱۹ Pandemic: A Systematic Review

Introduction: Different evidence indicates the widespread effects of the COVID-۱۹ crisis on the working conditions of nurses and their job satisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the job satisfaction of nurses during the COVID-۱۹ pandemic. Methods: This is a systematic review based on the six Cochran stages. After determining the research question, the keywords of “job satisfaction”, “work satisfaction”, nurse, COVID-۱۹, Coronavirus, and their Persian equivalents, were searched in the foreign databases of Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, and the electronic journal of Science Direct, as well as two internal databases of SID and MagIran, from December ۲۰۱۹ to January ۲۰۲۲. Also, the Google Scholar search engine was searched to ensure the extraction of all available relevant articles. Finally, out of ۴۹۵ articles included in the screening stage, ۲۲ articles were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria for complete review and data extraction. Results: After a complete review of the related articles, the findings about “job satisfaction of nurses during the COVID-۱۹ pandemic” were summarized in three categories: (۱) the level of job satisfaction(۲) factors related to job satisfaction and (۳) strategies provided to promote the job satisfaction. Conclusions: In the majority of studies, , nurses job satisfaction during the pandemic was moderate and it was related to individual, social and organizational factors. Also, researchers have proposed some strategies in their studies that can be used to improve nurses' job satisfaction during health crises.
