چکیده مقاله:

Background and aim: Airway management in the trauma patient presents numerous unique challenges beyond placement of an endotracheal tube (ETT), with outcomes dependent on the provider’s ability to predict and anticipate difficulty and have a safe and executable plan. rapid sequence intubation (RSI) is the method of choice in emergency airway management. In this study we had a review on Rapid Sequence Intubation for Traumatic patients.Materials and method: This research is a systematic review study done in ۲۰۲۲.The keywords Airway management, Trauma, Rapid-sequence induction searched on Pubmed, Scopus,Embase, Medline, Web of Science without time limitation. Also, the sources of articles were examined to ensure the completion of search results. Results: After search and analysis, finally ۹ full text articles selected Many have argued that prehospital RSI may complicate matters further by paralyzing patients who may have had previously spontaneous airways in the field, as well as delaying hospital transport of critically ill patients Others have argued that any delay in RSI and intubation in patients who require aggressive airway management in the field (such as those with severe head injuries) places individuals at greater risk. some studies found that RSI has higher success rates and lower complications than other techniques of prehospital airway management and intubation and found no greater short-term risk for field RSI when compared to those who intubate in hospital. Conclusion: Although RSI use in the prehospital arena has also increased, RSI intubation remains controversial in this setting. Further research and randomized control trials are needed to make formal recommendations.
