Effect of Counseling and Education on Infertile Couples

Background: Infertility has the mos t s tressful experience withvarious psychological damages to couples. Infertile couplesregard the iterative and long treatment periods as a recurringcrisis. Therefore, paying attention to the educational and counselingneeds of infertile patients has an important role in theirtreatment course.Materials and Methods: The s tudy reviewed several significantarticles in the field between ۲۰۱۰ and ۲۰۲۲. Reviews inthe journal and PubMed, Science Direct, Elsevier, ProQues t,Willy, springer, and google scholar databases with keywords infertility,Counseling, Education. The results were analyzed andranked in a schematic way. For s tatis tical analysis, s tatis ticaltes ts were used.Results: The result shows that counseling education programin treatment course for infertile couples controls their s tress andfear levels. Patients are also more cooperative and hopeful withthe knowledge of their treatment process and perform the treatments teps correctly. They also do not despair when treatmentsfail and seek other treatments. In case of sexual and psychologicalproblems, consult a counselor.Conclusion: According to the present results, the use of suchan infertility counseling education program is recommendedwhen patients face infertility.
