Synthesis of Zeolite Structures via Hydrothermal Method and Investigation of Their Crystallographic Characteristics

چکیده مقاله:
In this work, the synthesis of zeolite sodalite, A, and X was successfully performed by the hydrothermal method. Pyrophyllite mineral clay was used as the source of silica and alumina. For the synthesis of zeolite sodalite, the batch formula was considered as ۳.۵ Na۲O:Al۲O۳:۳ SiO۲:۱۴۴ H۲O. The X-ray diffraction pattern of synthesized compounds confirmed the formation of sodalite as well as silicon oxide as the impurity phases. Alkali fusion/hydrothermal method was used to the synthesis of zeolite A and X. Crystal structure of the synthesized products were identified via X-ray diffraction analysis. Results showed that the average crystallite size of zeolites A and X are ۵۰۵.۹۰ and ۳۱۴.۰ Å while both of these crystallographic structures belong to cubic systems with Fd۳m space group.
