Examining Impact of Board Characteristics on the Efficiency of Intellectual Capital of the Companies listed on Tehran Stock Exchange

The purpose of this paper is examining the impact of board characteristics on the efficiency of intellectual capital of the companies listed on Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). Therefore, from Pulik’s model has been used as a proxy for intellectual capital. The research sample consists of ۷۴ companies listed in the TSE. Research period covers a time span between ۲۰۰۵ to ۲۰۱۰. Multivariate regression statistical analysis was used to test the hypotheses of the research. The results show that there is a significant positive relationship between CEO duality and intellectual capital. But, there is not any significant relationship between other characteristics of board and intellectual capital.
