چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Mycoplasma hominis is one of the smallest bacteria that isolated fromnatural source and sometimes found as pathogenic flora in plants, animals, and humans. The aimof study was molecular identification of M.hominis in vaginal sample of women referred to theinfertility center of Fatemieh Hospital in Hamadan. Methods : In this Cross-sectional study, vaginal swab samples from symptomatic females werecollected and M.hominis identified by PCR and Real-Time PCR. DNA was extracted usingextraction kit. M.hominis strains were identified using ۱۶ S rRNA gene. Finally, Statisticalanalysis was performed using SPSS ۲۱ software. Results : A total of ۲۳۴ vaginal samples were studied in women with a mean age of ۳۹.۸ years. The results showed that M.hominis was identified by PCR (۱۳%) and Real-time PCR (۱۵%)methods, respectively. There was a significant relationship between PCR and Real-Time PCRmethods (P≤۰.۰۵).Conclusion : Real-time PCR was successfully used for rapid and accurate diagnosis of M.hominis.This method, compared to the PCR has significant potential for rapid, accurate and highly sensitivemolecular detection of M.hominis
