The effect of Elaeagnus Angustifolia L extract oncancer cells

Breast cancer (BC) usually affects womenworldwide and accounts for ۲۵% of allcancers. Many factors can cause thisdisease, the most important of which areenvironmental and genetic related to theonset of breast cancer. Breast cancer inwomen is classified into five molecularsubgroups. Elaeagnus Angustifolia (EA)extract is rich in flavonoids. EA has severaltherapeutic and medicinal properties,including anti-mutagenic, antioxidanteffects. EA extract can reduce theprogression of human cancer by inhibitingangiogenesis and cell invasion through theErk۱ / Erk۲ signaling pathways. EA hasanti-cancer effects due to the essentialflavonoids. flavonoids increase p۵۳expression and stop the cell cycle in the G۲/ M phase.This study investigates the effect of EAextract on cancer cells. SID,MEDLINE, PubMed, and Scopusdatabases from ۲۰۱۰ to ۲۰۲۱ wereused for this research.
