Mammalian flagellum is a special type of motor fluid that is required forsperm motility and male fertility. The effective movement of flagellumdepends on axonal function, which in turn depends on the proper ionhomeostasis in the flagellum chamber, which produces movement for cellpropellants through the female reproductive system.The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of sperm tail on theirmovement. This study was conducted in ۲۰۲۱ by searching for keywordssuch as sperm tail and sperm movement in valid databases such as: pubmed and Google scholar. Finally, ۱۵ articles were found, of which ۱۰articles were used. Based on the studies of the articles, the results show thatthe effective movement of flagellum depends on axonal function, which inturn depends on the appropriate ion homeostasis in the flagellum chamber.This ionic homeostasis is maintained by the coordinated operation of ionchannels and transports that are the beginning of signal transductionpathways resulting in changes in mobility. However, the onset of motility ispartly driven by an increase in the intralayer pH due to ion channels andtransports that transport protons from outside and bicarbonate into the cell.Electrophysiological and microscopic advances It has helped to identifyand describe new methods of monitoring mammalian flagella. According tothe findings, it is better to set up a risk reduction program that is not a riskfactor for us and it is recommended that we continue to do a good job ofthis study.
