چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: Due to the use of complex processes and sensitive equipment, the petrochemical industry needs a new method through which, by identifying the mechanisms of equipment failure, has an accurate risk assessment of them, until Due to one of the most important concerns of industry managers to be eliminated, which is risk management. The aim of this study was to analyze the risk assessment and identification of failure mechanisms of DA-۱۳۰۲ furnace using risk-based inspection method.Materials and Methods: In this study, semi-quantitative risk-based inspection method in accordance with API-۵۸۱ standard was used. First, the information required for the RBIprocess, including design documentation and operating conditions (PFD and P&ID plans), inspection records, safety information, fluid information, process conditions, etc., were collected. In final, after performing software operations, the failure mechanisms and the level of risk of this equipment were determined. Results: The results showed that the failure mechanism of this equipment is to reduce the general thickness (uniform) and corrosion under insulation. Also, the equipment risk number after determining the probability of failure (POF) and the consequence of failure (COF), C۲ and its risk level is medium to high. Conclusion: According to the results, risk-based inspection is a very effective method for risk assessment of critical equipment. Also, by identifying the mechanisms of equipment failure, this method can have a significant impact on increasing their efficiency, improving system safety and reducing related process accidents. Therefore, it is recommended that this method be considered in process industries.
