Climate of Iran in 2010

Some of the values of climatic parameters related to temperature and precipitation that have been observed over Iran in the year of 2010, are presented in Table 1. Here is presented some details about seasonal temperature anomalies. Warmer than average conditions occurred during winter. The highest values belong to some part of northwest including West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan and Kordestan provinces with above 5° C respect to long-term period. Highest anomalies related to Ghorveh in Kordestan province with 7° C above the long-term period. (Fig. 1.a). During spring, the country experienced temperatures mostly 0-2° C above long term period, however some small part in central area of the country, 2-3°C above long-term Period and in some small individual parts, average temperatures were up to 0.8 °C below average. In the summer, A vast area including some part of northeast and central part of the country, average temperatures were 0-1.7 °C below average. The rest of the country experienced temperatures 1-2° C above to long term period, although up to 4° were experienced in two stations. In autumn, warmer than average temperatures persisted across the country, while cooler than average conditions were limited to small part of southeastern part of the country. Highest anomalies values belong to northwest and some part of Caspian sea area with 2.5 °C above long term period. Although 6°C above and 0.5 °C below long term period experienced in Khore- Birjand station in east and Zahedan station in southeast of the country, respectively
