چکیده مقاله:

Schools are the most appropriate place where could prevent social harms in three different reasons. First of all, prevention should accurse at a time when students beliefs and attitudes have not yet been formed. Second, schools have the most systematic ways to reach juvenile, and third, schools are able to apply a wide range of prevention policies (Chebert, ۲۰۱۹). The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the effectiveness of physical education in reducing social harms of students in Khorasan Razavi.The research is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of method is descriptive. The statistical population of the study included ۴۵۶,۰۰۰ high school students in Khorasan Razavi province. According to Morgan s table, ۳۹۵ samples were collected by random cluster sampling from the cities of the province based on standard questionnaires.The results showed that effectiveness of physical education course have a positive and significant relationship with components of reducing social harms(r= ۰.۶۴). Also, the effectiveness of physical education course had the greatest relationship with the depression variable. In general, increasing the effectiveness of physical education lessons in schools, improve effeteness of managing social harms and promotes social status in teenagers.From the research findings, it inferred that social harm management has different strategies that exercise and physical activity is one of the most important strategies. The more the effectiveness of physical education, the more the effective in social harm management. In this regard, education should pay special attention to the role of physical education teachers with the aim of proper education and improving students attitudes. It should be noted that many social harms are due to the lack of proper filling of students leisure time. When students fill their free time with sports and useful activities, it can be seen that their tendency to social harms and Risk factors in society are reduced and social harm management and related skills improved.
