چکیده مقاله:

In this article, the behavior of energy absorption in an adhesively bounded hybridcomposite/aluminum structure under quasi-static axial load is investigated. For this purpose, anumerical model is first created in LS_DYNA finite element software. In order to design a suitablesample other paper’s experimental studies are also used in numerical simulation of material modelsrelated to predicting damage in composites and breakage in adhesives. The prepared finite elementmodel is validated with the help of data available in reliable sources. Here, the purpose of numericalsimulation is to design the structure in such a way that the desired behavior of energy absorptionoccurs before damage in the connection and without inhomogeneous buckling of the structure. In thispaper the parametric study of the change of the ply angle of two-layer composite in four angels of[+۱۵/-۱۵], [+۴۵/-۴۵], [۹۰], [۰/۹۰] and [۹۰/۰] in the energy absorber structure and the effects of thesechanges on the energy absorption behavior are discussed. Results shows that different composite plyangel in structure results in different deformation, failure modes and different energy absorption. Finally, all of the results are compared and the best angel for receiving the best results in energyabsorbing and proper failure modes is presented.
