چکیده مقاله:

Bone tissue engineering has benefited from three-dimensional (۳D) printing technologies in the last decade. To meet all the requirements for repairing the damaged bone, bone tissue-engineered scaffolds shouldpossess mechanical and morphological characteristics similar to the native tissue of bone, in addition toother biological and chemical considerations. The bioactive glass family of bioceramics has attractedresearchers' attention due to their fascinating biological properties. Furthermore, advanced manufacturingmethods aid in combining intrinsic material features with tunable mechanical and morphological properties. In this review paper, we aim to create an overview of ۳d-printing of bioactive glasses and the effects ofbinders and morphological features on overall mechanical properties, such as the compressive strength andmodulus. Binders help bioactive glass particles stick together, print, and form a solid object after ۳dprinting.We study binders in two groups; synthetic and natural binders. There is still a huge gap in theliterature to develop scaffolds that provide sufficient mechanical support for cortical bone repair.
