چکیده مقاله:

In this study, commercial polymer vinyl alcohol (PVA) based polymer film coated with a thin layer of polyamide was used. The effect of different irradiation times in the plasma modification process on the chemical-physical properties of the structure and the separation properties of the membranes, including pure water flux (PWF), and the rejection were investigated. FTIR results confirmed the formation of hydroxyl and amine groups on the surface of the modified membranes. It was shown in the AFM images that the plasma modification to poly (vinyl alcohol) resulted in an almost flat structure on the surface of the modified membranes relative to the control membrane. The results showed that all modified membranes showed higher rejection than the control membrane. The results showed that the correction performed in the interval of ۳min had the best performance (increase in the rejection without a significant decrease in the amount of water flux).
