Application of biomarkers in the diagnosis of patients with systolic heart failure with and without coronary artery disease

Systolic heart failure is when the heart has difficulty with contractile function, leading to decreased cardiac output and consequent hypotension. The present study was performed to compare serum levels of Copeptin, proBNP, and HSCRP in patients with left ventricular systolic failure (based on echocardiography) compared with patients without systolic failure in coronary artery disease. (With angiography). This study was performed for ۱۲ months. ۴۳ people in the case group (۴۰% Copeptin and HsCRP in the two groups (P-Value > ۰.۰۵) and there was a significant difference between proBNP in the two groups (P-Value < ۰.۰۵). The present study showed that NT-proBNP was significantly higher in people with hypertension compared to healthy and hypertensive groups. Although these three biomarkers had clinical prognostic value based on numerous studies in patients with heart failure and ischemic heart disease, more studies are needed in this area.
