چکیده مقاله:

Rutin has been identified with neuroprotective activities and displayed beneficial effects to Alzheimer’s disease patients. However, low bioavailability and solubility are the major concerns for the use of rutin. Autophagy is a highly regulated lysosomal degradative process that is participated in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis by the removal of damaged organelles and aberrant proteins. It has been well-established that aberrant function of autophagy is participated in the pathogenesis of neuronal degeneration. In the present study, rutin and rutin-loaded solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) were used to protect rat pheochromocytoma-derived cell line (PC۱۲) against streptozotocin (STZ)-induced neurotoxicity by measuring the expression of autophagy markers and some miRNAs involved in autophagy.
