The Impact of Industry ۴.۰ on Supply Chain Management

The term Industry ۴.۰ expresses expectations towards a fourth industrial revolution.Industry ۴.۰ aims to link disruptive technologies to manufacturing systems,combining smart operations and supply chain management (OSCM). Sustainable supply chain management practices have been adopted by companies that desire to reduce the negative environmental and social impacts within their supply chains. Redesigning supply chains for circular economy with the use of Industry ۴.۰ technologies, can enable circular supply chain management. Supply chain management has been scarcely investigated by current research in contrast to solutions based on Industry ۴.۰ in production. Organizations need to make wholesale alterations to their current systems via moving to a circular economy in transition to Industry ۴.۰. Here, after introducing Industry ۴.۰ and Supply Chain Management, we develop a literature review to find impacts of Industry ۴.۰ on Supply Chain management by explaining the pillars of circular supply chains in Industry ۴.۰.
