چکیده مقاله:

Language is a systematic tool of conventional symbols by means of which humans can communicate with each other. It is the most necessary part of human's life which changes by passing times and situations. But besides being used as a communication tool, it rises a particular and very important question about the origin of language. To answer the question, it has been studied from various perspectives in different fields of study consisting linguistics, psychology, religion, anthropology, sociology, and so on throughout the history of mankind. The focus of this paper is on linguistics and religious perspectives to find the answer of the mentioned question. The present study aims to compare Chomsky's theory of the origin of language and the Quranic concepts related to the subject. In all aspects of these two points of view, language is indicated as a special and unique feature belongs to human beings from the beginning of their existence on the earth.
