Assessing the competence of sports event managers and its impact on the organizational development of sports(Case study: Ardabil city)

The aim of this study was to investigate the competence of sports event managers and their impact on the organizational development of sports in Ardabil .. The research method is applied and descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of all managers and sports experts of Ardabil city was ۱۵۳ managers. According to Morgan method, ۱۱۰ people were selected as a statistical sample. Measurement instruments were the Sports Event Managers Competency Questionnaire and the Sports Development Questionnaire. Cronbach's alpha was calculated to be ۰.۹۸ and ۰.۹۳, respectively. . Data were analyzed using linear regression. Findings showed that the competence of managers of sports events is moderate and there is a significant relationship between the competence of managers of sports events and sports development (P <۰.۰۱), (r = ۰.۲۷). This variable has the ability to explain the variance of sport development by ۰.۰۷. Planning techniques (r۲ = ۰.۲۹), business methods (r۲ = ۰.۲۰), political and government issues (r۲ = ۰.۲۴), communications and public relations (r۲ = ۰.۲۱), management techniques (۲۷ R۲ = ۰.۲, and risk management (r۲ = ۰.۱۹) have a significant effect on exercise development. Sports event managers should be highly qualified in terms of competence, as this can play an important role in achieving the development of sports.
