چکیده مقاله:

Ferro magnetic liquids, ferrofluids, are sta ble colloida l suspensions of single domain par ticles of ferromagnetic materials. Th ese relatively new mate rials have a wide range of applicati ons in modern technolog y and behave as smart fluids due to their unique feature s [۱-۳]. Alth ough ferrofluids have b een the sub ject of num erous inves tigations du ring past t wo decades, their electrical properties have not received en ough attention. The pres ent work is an attempt to fill the gap of knowl edge on the electrical conductivity (EC) of na nofluids constituted of Fe۳O۴ (magnetite) nanop articles. For this purpose, the EC of magnetite ferrofluid was measu red at differe nt volume fractions and selected te mperatures. Exper imental and method: The magnetite nanofluid was synthesi zed by chemical co-precipitation technique using Tetra methyl ammonium hyd roxide as s urfactant [۲] . To obtain the best conditions fo r the formation of Fe۳O ۴ nanoparti cles, differe nt conditions were perfo rmed (table ۱). The pro ducts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (Mo-KĮ ra diation, Ȝ=۰.۷۰۹۲ Å), Fourier transform infrar ed spectroscopy, and tra nsmission e lectronic microscopy. The electric al conductivity of the nanofluids was measured using Wagtech Ec-mete r model Con ۱۱.
