چکیده مقاله:

The i nterest in the investigation of the photocatalyticactivity of nanocrystalline materials is associated with the promisin g outlook of theirapplication in solving important ecol ogical problems suchas a ir and wate r purification from orga nic contami nants.Titani a has been w idely studied for itshigh photocatalytic prope rties, such as photoacti vity, photochemicalsta bility, suitable band-gap energy, and so on. TiO۲ powders havethree common po lymorphs: rutile, brookite, and anatase. Amongthem, rutile phase h as the ther modynamically most stable modificationof TiO۲[۱]. Theanatase pha se, on the other han d, has higher photocatalytic activitythan the others, thus is suitable for photoc atalysts.Over recent years, solvothermal method allows th e preparation of indiv idual and multicomponentoxides with a specified comp osition and micromorp hologyat relatively low temperatures. Thiscan be achiev ed by variation of solvothermalparameters. It has f ound ever-expanding application for thepreparation of nanocrystalline oxide materials, amongthem are titanium dioxide-based photo catalysts.Particle morphology, crystalline phase, and surface ch emistry of the solvothermal-derived TiO۲ ca n be easily controlled by regulati ng precursorcomposition and concentration, re action temperature and time, pres sure and solvent prop erties [۲].I n ourprevious work, effects of syn thesis temperature, time and aging on photoc atalyticactivity of NANO-TiO۲ by solvothermalmethod were studied but no considerable distinct in photocatalyticbehaviour for different conditions have been observed۳.
