چکیده مقاله:

Polym er-inorgani c nanocomposites are a n attractive set of organic–inorgani c materials which have emerged as a new class of adv anced materials containing a low inorganic filler concentration [۱]. The m ost important advantage of synthesis polymer-inorganic nanocomposites i related to combination of the properties of ino rganic material (e.g., rigidity and thermal stability) with the organic polymer (e.g., flexibility, ductility, and process ability). The basic feature of polymer nanocompo sites is that the nano- size fillers l ead to incre ase in interfa cial area as compared with traditional composites [۳]. Actually, nano-sized fillers have high p otential for use in poly mer-inorganic nanoco mposites in which enha nced therma l and mecha nical properties are re quired. A significant a mount of w ork has been focused on the synthe sis and characterizatio n of these nanocomposites for better understanding of the mecha nism of inte rcalating po lymers in la yered inorganic hosts to fabricate m odified pol ymer-inorganic nanocomposites. In this work, exfoliate d Polyviny l Acetate /montmorillonite, PVAc/MMT nanocomposite was prepared via in situ emulsion pol ymerization. For preparation of the PVAc/MM T nanocomposite, MMT was disp ersed in deionized water, the mixture and the a queous emulsified solution containing SLS, N۲۰ were added to a ۵۰۰ ml glass three-neck reactor with a water jacket to maintain a constant tem perature ( ± ۰.۱C ). The glass reactor was fitted with a refl ux condenser; funnel a nd mechanical stirrer, then the ini tiator (APS) were added . Then monomer poure d into the dropping funnel. The mixture was stirred at ۳۰۰ rpm and heated up to ۷۵°c.after addition of the monomer ,the polymerization was carried out for ۴ h.
