Kinetic stu dy of degradation of methyl ene blue by Fenton process

Several a dvanced ox idation pro cesses (AO P) have been developed and applied to waste water treatment [۱]. Fenton process is a homogeneous catalytic AOP using a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and ferrous ions [۲]. The Fenton process uses ferrous ions to reac t with hydrogen peroxide, producing hydroxyl radicals with powerful ox idizing abilities to deg rade certain toxic contaminants[۳]. In this researc h degradation of meth ylene blue (MB) have been studie d by Fenton process and some parameters tha t influence the degradation rate, such as initial concentr ation of MB, H۲O۲ and Fe۲+ and temperature ha ve been investigated.
