Kinetic of Son ocatalytic degradati on of Met hylene blue

Various treatment methods have been devel oped to rem ove azo dy es from waste water. Fenton process is one of the advanced o xidation pr ocesses (AOP) that is widely used for degradat ion of dyes. Als o as one of AOPs ultrasonic irradia tion has be en employe d in the deg radation of textile dyes [۱]. Sonochemi stry is princi pally based on acoustic cavitation which inclu des the formation, growth and implosive collapse o f bubbles i n loquid [۲]. Combination of these two method s can improve the degrada tion rate. I n this work we used th is combined method f or degradation of Methylen e blue (MB ). The reaction orders for all of the reagents d etermined by kinetic stu dy of degradation process in various concentratio ns of MB, H۲O۲ and Fe۲+. Also effect of p H and ultrasound power on the degradation rate investigated.
