چکیده مقاله:
Ethylen e glycol used as a heat transfer fluid in chiller applications, T his chemi cal can degrade and causing corrosion and increasing c osts[۱]. Nowaday, nanofluid is used inindustr y to solve this proble m. They ex hibit enhanced thermal conductivity that make them potenti ally useful in many applications in heat transfer, inc luding mi croelectronics, fuel cellsan d pharmac eutical processes, Engine cooling/vehicle the rmal management, chiller, heat exchanger[۲]. Fer rofluids are composed of nanosc ale particles of mag netite, hem atite or some other compound containing iron [ ۳]. In the present wor k, Fe۳O۴ m agnetic nanofluids have been synthesized and their size inpowder, were investigated through a X-ray diffraction (XRD) by using the Scherrer approximation. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to measur e their dia meter. An important overlooked practical feature of nanofluids is how these nanoparticles in the fluid i mpact on the corrosion rates of the metals that ar e in contac t with the nanofluid s. Research on Corrosion of copper in nanofluids ontaini ng MWCNT (Multi Wall Carbon Nano T ubes) began by Ah madi, Bagh alha[۴]. Carbon steel finds wide application as a construction material for heat transport system , petrochemical, an d chemical process industries. However, this material is highly prone to corrosi onin various enviro nment. C orrosion o f carbon s teel were containing Fe۳O۴ nanofluids studie d by potentio-dynamic polarization meth od and comparison with thecorrosi on caused by different concentrations of ethylene glycol.
