Trypanosome or sleeping sickness is a swelling of the brain ca used by parasites that live in infect ed tsetse flie s. When a tsetse fly inserts the parasite into the human body by means of its sting, the parasite is diffused into the person's blood s tream. Some of drug compounds su ch as anti-trypanosomal can be eff ective for t his type of sleeping sickness. QSAR method s are power tools for prediction of pIC۵۰ drug compounds such as ۱, ۲-dihydroquinolin-۶-ols and their ester derivatives. In the present work, we used stepwise regression (SR) and g enetic algorithm (GA) as variable s election methods and ANN as modeling techni que to predict of anti-trypanosomal activity of ۱, ۲-dihydroquinolin-۶- ols and their ester derivatives
