Investigation of Thixotropic Behavior of Flopamm ۳۶۳۰S Polymer Solution in Monovalent and Divalent Salinities

In polymer flooding for enhanced oil recovery (EOR), the almost stable rheological properties of the flooding fluid, which is a polymer solution, are very important. Here, the rheological properties of the polymer solution in two concentrations at different salinities have been studied to evaluate the suitability of these polymer solutions in polymer flooding of the oil reservoirs. The results showed that after adding monovalent and divalent salts in both polymer concentrations, shear stress and thixotropic properties of the polymer solution were reduced, but the solution with lower concentration had better performance at monovalent salinities.
