چکیده مقاله:

The genus Stachys (family Lamiaceae) is distributed in the Mediterranean regions and south-west Asia. About ۳۰۰ Stachys species are reported; ۳۴ of these are found in Iran, of which ۱۳ are endemic. Several Stachys species are used in Iranian folk medicine as medicinal plants. The volatile composition of three Stachys species has been studied. The investigated taxa were St. inflata, St. lavandulifolia and St. schtschegleevii, growing wild in Qazvin. The essential oils were obtained by hydro-distillation in a modified Clevenger-type apparatus, and their analyses were performed by GC and GC–MS. Sesquiterpene hydrocarbons were shown to be the main group of constituents of all taxa. The main components in St. lavandulifolia essential oil, were germacrene-D (۱۴.۱%), β-phellandrene (۱۳.۴%), α-pinene (۹.۲%), myrcene (۸.۴%), β-pinene (۶.۹%) and ocimene (۶.۸%). the major components of Stachys inflata were spathulenol (۲۰.۵۵%), α-terpineol (۹.۴۵%), linalool (۷.۳۷%), and α-pinene (۶.۸%). In St. schtschegleevii species, α-pinene (۲۰.۵%), β-phellandrene (۱۲.۶%), germacrene D (۱۲.۹%), β-pinene (۱۰.۵%) and α-phellandrene (۳.۷%) were the major components of essential oil.
