چکیده مقاله:
This paper is devoted to an investigation carried out on the essential oils of air-dried leaves of four species of Thymus Sp.: Thymus. Persicus, Thymus Eriocalyx Thymus daenensis subsp. Daenensis, and Thymus serpyllum L growing wild in Lorestan area, in the western part of Iran. The species were obtained through hydro-distillation process and analyzed by using GC and GC/MS methods. The four species were compared to determine the similarities and differences among their volatile chemical compositions. Sixty-five compounds representing ۹۸.۰۵%, ۸۹.۷۰%, ۹۶.۴۵% and ۹۳.۰۸% of essential oils were identified respectively. The major constituents noted were as Thymus daenensis subsp. Daenensis: Trans Ocimene (۶.۶۲%), ۱, ۸ Cineole (۶.۱۷%), cis sabinene hydrate (۹.۲%), Linalool (۵.۱۵%), α-Terpineol (۱۳.۱۸%), Thymol (۵%), Caervacrol (۱۲.۳۸%), β-Carryophyllene (۴.۲۶%). Th.Eriocalyx: ۱-Borneol (۱۰.۴۶%), Thymol (۶۶.۳۴%), Carvacrol (۷.۵%) Th.Percicus: ۱,۸-Cineole (۵.۲۴%), Limonene (۱۱.۶۲%), γ-Terpinene (۵.۶۳%), trans_Sabinene hydrate (۷.۷۸%), Thymol (۱۰.۳۸%), Carvacrol (۲۵.۷۱%) .Th.Serpyllium: α-Pinene (۱۲.۲%), Thymol (۷.۳۹%), Carvacrol (۱۴.۹۴%). The complex array and differing abundances of these compounds among the thymus species under the investigation suggest that they may provide useful characters in understanding the phylogenetic relationships among closely related species.
