چکیده مقاله:
Background and Objective: Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer in women within the world. According to estimate of American Cancer Association, approximately ۲۴۶,۶۶۰ invasive BC will diagnose and ۴۰,۸۹۰ deaths occur in ۲۰۱۷. One of aggressive type of BC is Triple-Negative Breast cancer (TNBC) that defined as without estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, and Human epidermal growth factor (HER۲). This study was performed to determine the histopathological and clinical characteristics of TNBC patients in hospitals in Tehran.Materials and Methods: This analytic cross-sectional study has performed in ۵ educational and private hospitals in Tehran since ۲۰۱۹ to ۲۰۲۰. This study conducted ۱۰۰ consecutive TNBC patients that our data were collected from their medical records in hospitals’ archives such as Immunohistochemistry (IHC) report, demographic characteristics, and metastatic information. Inclusion criteria for this study were patients with primary invasive breast carcinoma with triple negative pathological samples. P-value ≤ ۰.۰۵ was considered statistically significant.Findings: The mean age of patients was ۴۹.۷ (±۱۲.۲) years and the mean age of patients with positive and negative metastasis was ۵۲.۰۶±۱۳.۲۵ and ۴۹.۱۶±۱۲.۰۱ years respectively. ۷۸ (۸۱.۳%) of patients were type of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma with negative metastasis. There were significant relationship between family history (P=۰.۰۰۱) and Lymphatic Involvement (P<۰.۰۰۱) with metastasis. Negative Metastatic Lymphatic Involvement (۴۴-۹۵.۷%) was more than positive one (۱۶-۲۹.۶%). The number of patients with stage IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and IIIC were ۳۲, ۱۴, ۱۲, ۱, and ۳ respectively, that were negative in metastasis. Hence, the patients with type IV were ۱۸ with positive metastasis. The number of patients with Grade II and III were ۵۳ and ۴۷, respectively. Conclusion: In this study revealed involved characteristics were age, family history, types, stage, and grade of tumor. Negative family history was significantly more than positive one (P=۰.۰۰۱). About stages, IIA and IIIB were significantly more and less than other stages (P˂۰.۰۰۱), respectively.
