Due to the increasing progress of industries and the reduction of high-grade resources, processing and treating methods have become especially important. One of the most important operations in the industry is the optimization of processes and equipment, which has a critical impact on the efficiency of processing plants. Plant interruptions due to various reasons are one of the factors that reduce this efficiency, since in this paper the performance of Line ۲ of Sirjan Gohar-Zamin Iron Ore Processing Plant with regard to interruptions has been investigated. The collected information includes various types of interruptions such as mechanical, planned, not required, lack of food, and electricity and water problems as well as the down time of each these interruptions during a time period from ۲۰۱۷ to ۲۰۲۰. Excel software was applied for analyzing these information and line charts were drawn annually in these ۴ years. By performing analysis on the charts, it was found that by conducting plans, the trend of interruptions has decreased in these ۴ years. Additionally, the longest downtime is related to the problem of not requirement for equipment and the lowest is related to the lack of food as well as water problems and electricity outages. It was clearly observed that the interruptions in the first months of the year are more than the last month of the year, which is a matter of production. Finally, some suggestions were made to improve the current situation and reduce existing interruptions.
