NEW CONCEPTS CONCERNING EMBANKMENT DAIIS EARTHQUAKE ANALYSIS

Some relevant results gained in embankment dams earthquake analysis based on the recent new concepts recommended. ICOLD (۱۹۸۳) are presented in the paper. They are refering to liquefaction phenomenon analysis during earthquake shaking and the effects of dam-foundation interaction on embankment dam seis-mic response. In compliance with the concept concerning generation of pore water pressures in saturated cohesionless soils including liquefastisn state due to seismic cyclic shear stresses are analysed different solutions for small height earth dam cross sections
