DAMAGE PATTERNS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAMED STRUCTURES UNDER EARTHQUAKE SERIES

Nonlinear responses of framed structures, including strength, deformation and redistribution of internal forces, subjected to different earthquake series are discussed in the paper. Several aspects of the research are conducted as follows: (۱) During a earthquake series consisting of the mainshock with aftershocks the nonlinear responses of the structure in the different aftershocks are carried out after the mainshocks corresponding to a moderate and strong movement are considered respectively. (۲) The earthquake resistant behavior of the structure in the two mainshocks type of ground motion series are investigated. (۳) To undershand the influence of major factors on the structural behavior the comparison between the inelastic response of the structure caused by the single and the ground motion series are worked out
