RECONSTRUCTION OF BULL CREEK CANYON CHANNEL BRIDGE AFTER NORTHRIDGE EARTHQUAKE

Bull Creek Canyon Channel Bridge suffered major damage during the Northridge earthquake. This paper will briefly describe the earthquake motion, the potential collapse mechanism leading to major damage, the steps taken to design and construct the replacement bridge. This will include state of the art seismic design criteria, methods of analysis, and construction details.
