An analysis of Desalination Technologies Information- A patent approach

This paper focuses on patent landscaping / mapping in the field of water desalination technologies. ThePatentscope® system, where the patent cooperation treaty (PCT) files are searchable, was selected forsearching and analyzing the patents related to inventions for desalination methods and instruments. Onethousand, three hundred and sixty patents were hit upon by our search in September ۱۰, ۲۰۱۴. Thereafter,the patents were analyzed and some valuable information was made which is useful to technologylearning and evaluating opportunities for technology transfer.
