چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Blood infections are a leading cause of death in hospitalized patients. Urinary tract infections are also one of the most common bacterial infections. Knowledge about variety of bacterial agents of infection is important. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of bacteria in the positive cases of blood and urine culture in patients. Methods : This study was descriptive-retrospective using data from ۳۲۳۰ samples of urine culture and ۱۱۰۰ blood culture samples taken from patients referred to Sanandaj Besat Hospital during the autumn of ۲۰۱۹. Cultures specimen’s and laboratory microbiological methods for bacteria detection and disk diffusion were performed. For statistical analysis, SPSS ۲۰ software, Chi-square test was used (p≤۰.۰۵).Results : ۸% of blood culture samples and ۷.۱۹% of urine culture samples were positive. Bacteria isolated from blood culture and urine culture include, respectively. Escherichia coli (۳.۴۰% and ۷۱.۵۵%), Staphylococcus saprophyticus (۲.۲۷% and ۱.۷۲%), Enterobacter (۳.۴۰% and ۳.۴۴%), Citrobacter (۱.۱۳% and ۴.۳۱%), Staphylococcus epidermidis (۳۶.۳۶% and ۳.۴۴%), Klebsiella (۰.۶% and ۶.۰۳%), Serratia (۰.۱% and ۱.۳%), Proteus (۱.۱۳% and ۲.۵%), Streptococcus (۵.۶۹% and ۰.۴۳%), Acinetobacter (۵.۶۹% and ۰.۴۲%), Staphylococcus aureus (۲.۲۷% and ۲.۱۵ %), Pseudomonas (۱.۱۳% and ۲.۵۹%) and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (۴۰.۹۰% and ۰%) have been reported. Conclusion : Pathogens of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Staphylococcus epidermidis are the most common causes of blood infection and Escherichia coli is the most common cause of urinary tract infection. Proper diagnosis of pathogens causing infection is essential.
