چکیده مقاله:

In this study, the effect of oil heat treatment on the creep behavior of beech wood (Fagus orientalis) was examined. At first, some blocks of beech wood with ۱۲۰ × ۲۰ × ۵ cm (Longitudinal × Tangential × Radial, respectively) dimensions were prepared. And then, blocks were treated with soybean oil in an oil heat treatment reactor. Treatment of blocks was carried out at temperatures of ۱۸۰˚C and ۲۰۰˚C, and holding times of ۱۲ and ۱۵ h were considered. The equilibrium moisture content due to cyclic relative humidity of ۶۰ and ۹۰ percent, relative creep, modulus of elasticity, and anti-creep efficiency were investigated. The results showed that oil heat treatment decreased relative creep and the equilibrium moisture content. It was also revealed that oil heat treatment increased the anti-creep efficiency of beech wood.
