چکیده مقاله:
Background: Having a child is one of the most important factors in maintaining the unity of couples and married life, but infertility of couples can lead to many disorders in their lives. Adoption is one of the ways to prevent stress due to infertility in married life, but in recent years, the infertile couple's desire to adopt a child has decreased and has been discussed in several studies. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate and collect the injuries caused by the family for infertile women interested in having an adopted child. Methods: This study uses the keywords Women, adopted children, family, infertility, injury Search in pub med - Scopus- Science Direct-ISI-magiran databases using Google Scholar and Worldcat search engines with a review of related articles from ۱۹۹۰ to Done ۲۰۲۰.Results: By reviewing ۱۸۹۳ articles in general, ۵۹ articles were selected for the final review based on the inclusion criteria, of which ۴۹ were English and ۱۰ were Persian. The research was divided into ۲ main areas:general barriers to rejection of adopted children in infertile couples and the difference between men and women in accepting adopted children. their feelings about accepting this responsibility are the main reasons why infertile couples are reluctant to have children. It was also observed that even if there are male problems as a cause of infertility in couples, women are more inclined to adopt children than men. One of the reasons for this is the existence of guilt in childless women and differences in attitudes toward gender roles. Counseling sessions can be considered to improve the attitude of infertile couples and those around them. Conclusion: Among infertile couples, even if infertility is due to male factors, men, unlike most women, are not interested in accepting this responsibility, which can lead to differences in marital relationships and cause multiple psychological damage in childless women. Therefore, further studies in this regard are recommended.
