چکیده مقاله:

Water pollution with toxic and non-biodegradable organic compounds such as synthetic dyes needs the design and development of efficient and sustainable strategies capable for degradation of these contaminants. In the present research, CuFe۲O۴/Sep nanocatalyst was synthesized by solvothermal method as a new photocatalyst for the degradation of organic dye (methylene blue) from wastewater. The morphology and magnetic of the prepared nanocomposite were characterized by using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and vibration sample magnetometer (VSM) analysis. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated against the degradation of methylene blue under visible-light irradiation. The experimental results indicated that ۹۶.۷ % of target dye was degraded within ۱۴۰ min. Accounting for the high catalytic capability, chemical constancy and inexpensive cost, the CuFe۲O۴/Sep nanocomposite has great potential working as a photocatalyst for treatment of industrial wastewaters.
