Investigating the relationship between gene CYP۱B۱ C۴۳۲۶G polymorphism and the risk of cervical cancer

  Cervical cancer is a common and deadly cancer among women around the world. One of the genes associated with many cancers is the CYP۱B۱gene.Some studies have shown that polymorphisms in the CYP۱B۱ gene can induce hyper activation of proteins and increase the incidence of several cancers. In the present study, we examined the association between the CYP۱B۱ C۴۳۲۶G polymorphism and the risk of cervical cancer.۶۰ newly diagnosed patients with cervical cancer and ۶۰ cancers-free controls.DNA was extracted by Salting-out method, Restriction fragment length polymorphism PCR was employed to determine the genotype of the CYP۱B۱ C۴۳۲۶G polymorphisms. the frequencies of the three genotypes (CC, CG, and GG) of CYP۱B۱ C۴۳۲۶G in cervical cancer cases and controls were ۶۸.۰, ۲۵.۴, ۶.۶%and ۷۳.۱, ۲۱.۴, and ۵.۵ %, respectively, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (χ۲=۷.۴۱, P=۰.۰۲).     Cervical cancer,CYP۱B۱, RFLP-PCR, Human papilloma virus
