Due to the increasing use of composite columns in high- rise buildings, it is necessary to assessment the behavior of this type of columns under blast loading. As part of the study program ۱۹ models with constant dimensions and variable distance between transverse reinforcements (۱۰ to ۲۰ centimeters) and concrete strength (۲۰,۲۵ and ۳۰ Mpa) on the behavior of these columns under blast loading was investigated by finite element modeling in Abaqus and also a comparison was made between the behavior of these columns with concrete columns and steel columns. The investigation showed that the space between stirrups is more effective in decrease the maximum displacement of the middle of the column and comparison between SRC column and concrete column and steel column revealed that SRC column is more strong than others in blast loading and can be used as a good idea to retrofiting steel column against blast loading by transforming to SRC column.
