An Improved ICA-based Load Balancing System using PSO

Nowadays, cloud-based networks are prime examples of distributed high speed computing aimed at sharing resources as a service over the Internet. Reducing users costs and speeding up access to resources is one of the upcoming challenges about the optimal use of available resources such as memory and CPU power. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of cloud-based services, it is necessary to provide an optimal solution based on load balancing. In this paper, we have tried to properly distribute the volume of load between resources and reduce the response time of tasks by using characteristics of the combination of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Imperialist Competitive Algorithms (ICA). The simulation results on the experimental data show that the proposed solution has a significant improvement on the mentioned parameters
