چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: Blood pressure disorders in pregnancy are the leading cause of maternal and fetal mortality in developed and developing countries. People with higher social support are in better health. Religion is also a source of support for people in need. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between religious attitudes and perceived social support in women with gestational hypertension.Methods: In this descriptive study, the level of religious attitude and social support perceived in ۱۱۲ patients with gestational hypertension referred to selected hospitals in Shiraz was examined by available sampling method. The instruments used included a demographic and midwifery information questionnaire, religious attitude and social support. Pearson correlation test, one-way analysis of variance and independent t-test were used to analyze the data. The level of p <۰.۰۵ was considered. Results: The mean score of religious attitude was ۱۰۳.۳ ± ۲۸.۷. There is a positive and significant correlation between religious attitude and perceived social support.Conclusion: The results showed that with increasing the score of religious attitude, the score of social support increased. Therefore, pay attention to the positive role of religious attitude and social support during pregnancy.
