Assessment is one the important issues in teaching a foreign language so we were going to look for some interesting ideas about learners’ encouragement in learning process how paper assessment due to their interests would lead to a better learning and if they were willing to pass such tests to evaluate what was their recognitions of taking exams (mid-term and final) during a semester of teaching English language weather exams’ questions make our learners prepared them for their future needs or not, and if exams were authentic to evaluate real statues of their progress in learning process. We provided some classes to pick up learners’ perceptions by giving a questionnaire to the learners before and after both exams, and gathering at least 100 female and male EFL learners’ numerical information in exams’ mark from Toofan Foreign Language Center in Mashad, Khorasan Rzavi province at intermediate level which have provided EFL learners’ perceptions toward paper assessment how they made progress while they were studying English books such as American English file, touch stone, and four corners in an educational term in institute.
