The synthesis of Spiro-oxindole compounds by 5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-1,2-dione, Pyrazole and Pyrazolone

Recently, we have described a simple and straightforward preparation of novel spiro-oxindole by tricyclic and four cyclic Isatin.1-5 Interest to the synthesis of novel spiro compounds, we have now demonstrated the p-TSA catalyzed and green synthesis of novel spiro-oxindole 4 by condensations of variously 5-aminopyrazole 2 with Ethyl acetoacetate 3 and 5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-1,2-dione 1 (scheme 1).In the other case of our work, we examined the reaction of 5,6-dihydro-4H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-1,2-dione 1, 3-methylpyrazol-5-one 5 and Ethyl acetoacetate 3 in H2O (scheme 2).The desired products were produced in good yields and their structures were determined on the basis of their spectroscopic analysis data.
