چکیده مقاله:
The imidazole ring system is one of the most important substructures found in a large number of natural products and pharmacologically active compounds.1-3 In this communication, a number of methods have been also developed for the synthesis of 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles.4In this research paper, a simple and convenient method for the synthesis of various 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles using mixture of the amines such as arylamines and aliphatic amines, aryl aldehydes, 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds and ammonium acetate in the presence of [Bmim]HSO4 as a green, reusable catalyst in refluxing ethanol is described (Scheme 1).The advantages of this protocol are the synthesis of tetrasubstituted imidazoles having fluorine atom, simple separation and workup and the use of reusable catalyst.
